Frequently Asked Question

Are IPv6 addresses shared on the server? / Do I have to pay for a dedicated IP address?
Last Updated 5 years ago

No. The point of IPv6 is to provide every user device on the internet with a public address (with no NAT or IP-sharing).  We won't share IPv6 addresses.  The address assigned to you is your address and is not shared with anyone else on the server; however, your IPv4 address will remain the same.

If you're granted a dedicated IPv6 address, but have not purchased an IPv4 address: you will still be sharing the IPv4 address with the server but your IPv6 address will remain dedicated.
